SNOW DAYS: School will be closed for snow days when all of Braintree Public Schools are cancelled. The announcements will be broadcast on TV and the radio. Delayed openings, Kindergarten, and Pre-School cancellations do not apply. Check the website www.LollipopTreeKids.com for school closings.
SCHOOL ACTIVITIES: The Lollipop Tree has been providing developmentally appropriate education for preschool children since 1982 at this same location. We offer a Lunch/Brunch program bi-monthly which is an extended day for the half day children. We offer a music program and yoga monthly. Indoor gym is offered weekly in our large auditorium to enhance gross motor skills and physical activity. We also offer outdoor play weather permitting. We always leave time to explore through science experiments and play as well as working on all prekindergarten skills. We truly educate the whole child.
We do not take field trips. However, we do bring in many special guests, such as a dental hygienist, firefighters and police officers. Parents that would like to share something about their professions or cultures that would interest the children and enrich our program are welcome.
FOR YOUR INFORMATION:
Even though we do not have formal teacher/parent conferences , as the need arises, a conference may be scheduled. You may speak to your child’s teachers and arrange a time that is convenient for all parties. If needed, the directors will attend.
We want you to be aware that during our Holiday Show, Santa may be on stage with the children. We have celebrations for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day. National holidays such as Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Martin Luther King Day and President’s Day will be remembered.
Each day before snack we say a blessing. It is simple and goes as follows:

“God is great, God is good. Let us thank Him for our food.”
We also teach the children “The Pledge of Allegiance”.
As always, your input is very important to us and always welcome. Any suggestions may be brought to the attention of the directors or placed in the suggestion box outside of the office. We realize that there is always room for improvement and we strive to be better.
The L.T.N.S. offers a before and after school program. A notice will be sent home. For more information, check in the office.
Individual and class pictures are taken every year.
The Lollipop Tree offers a summer program. More information will follow in the spring.
